DAY 1 : - NAIROBI
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and you will be received by Dawin Tours and Travel Representative, transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: - NAIROBI - NANYUKI – SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
Depart at 6.30am after breakfast, from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi, heading northern Kenya through Thika Town, Karatina town towards north, crossing the equator, before reaching the market town of Nanyuki. Founded in 1907 by English settlers, Nanyuki is home to the main base of Kenya’s Air Force. It’s popular amongst tourists because of its proximity to impressive Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest peak at 5199 m. It’s also home to the Mount Kenya Safari Club, now a hotel, but in the 1960’s an exclusive club whose members included Winston Churchill, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope and also its 15 kilometers to the famous ol pajeta conservancy which is the home of all the big five and other species and also the world chimpanzees sanctuary Leaving this old frontier town, the Clients will head north-west through the Kikuyu area around Mt Kenya to the Samburu National Reserve where it will encounter the Masai’s distant relatives, the semi-nomadic proud Samburu, tending their cattle along the way. The Samburu National Reserve is a relatively small reserve at just 104 km2, remote and hence unspoilt, which attracts a wide range of animals because of the Ewaso Nyiro River (brown water) that runs through it. Check in at Simba Lodge Samburu for lunch, after lunch; depart for game drives for the whole of the afternoon for dinner and overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge
DAY 3: - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE
The Samburu National Reserve is made up of a mixture of scrub, desert and open Savannah plains interspersed with small rugged hills. It is home to most of the Big 5 (except the rhino, which has been decimated by poachers). What makes this reserve unique is its populations of Gravy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe and Somali Ostrich and the day will be spent searching for these unique animals. Also we have the Buffalos, Elephant, Leopard and the lion for all meals and overnight stay at Samburu Simba Lodge.
DAY 4: - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE – SWEET WATERS
After Morning Breakfast at 6.30am, depart from Samburu National Reserve to Mount Kenya Region, Ol Pajeta Conservancy; this is the biggest and most exciting game reserve in Mount Kenya region popularly known as Sweet Waters. The conservancy has several Camps in the 22,000 acres of land. And this is also the biggest Chimpanzee sanctuary in the world. The Ranch is about 15Km west of Nanyuki town. This conservancy is the home of all the big five and many other animals and birds, The Rhino, Buffalos, Elephants, Lions, and the Elusive Leopards, forms the big five family. The park is so exciting as while in the park on the clear days, you have the best vies of the magnificent Mount Kenya; you will have Lunch at Serena Sweet Waters Tented Camp within the conservancy, Later in the afternoon at 3.00pm, Depart for more game drives and driven back to the Serena Sweetwater’s Tented Camp. Where you will enjoy the recreational facilities for the Hotel, you can also swim and relax for Dinner and overnight stay at Serena Sweet Waters Tented Camp Nanyuki.
DAY 5: – MOUNT KENYA – NAKURU
After breakfast at 7.00am, depart to Lake Nakuru National Park via Thomson Falls to arrive in the Famous Lake Nakuru National Park at 11am, Drive straight on game drives en-route through and within the Park to arrive at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill Lodge at 12.30pm in time for Hot lunch, check in and relax and have lunch, Later at 2.30pm, Depart for more game drives in this Premium Park. This is the second most visited National Park in Kenya after Maasai Mara National Reserve. Lake Nakuru National Park is world Renown for its great features, it’s the World Birds Anthological Sanctuary, and its Home to the Millions of Flamingoes, This Afternoon clients will spend the day in the Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for the thousands of lesser and greater flamingos that flock to this soda lake’s edge. The numbers vary depending on the water level, and when it’s low, the lake almost turns pink. A truly spectacular sight! The park was established as a sanctuary for black and white rhino, which are often seen. The day is spent searching for these pre-historic looking beasts as well as the elusive leopard, Tree climbing lions, Cheaters, White and Black Rhino, hundreds of Buffalos, Waterbucks, Impalas, Elands, Different types of Monkeys and etc. For Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
DAY 6: LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Depart from Nakuru National Park to the Famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve where all the Big Five family are found and other thousands of wild animal are found, from Lake Nakuru National Park early in the Morning after Breakfast Through Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha, Mount Longonot, Mai Mahiu and entering Maasai land where these habitual pastoralists are often seen tending their cattle from the side of the road. After passing through the town of Narok the clients will arrive at a Mara Serena Lodge in Maasai Mara in time for Lunch, After checking in and having lunch, depart at 2.30pm for the Big Game drives within this terrain which is very famous across the world for millions of wildebeest crossing from Serengeti National Park to Maasai Mara and while crossing the famous crocodile invested Mara River, they usually bring the worlds spectacular event never experienced anywhere else in the world as most of the wildebeest are eaten by the thousands of crocodile while trying crossing the Mara River. (Although this only happens on Months of Early July and August, and the rooms within the park are always fully booked as early as February,) Later in the Evening, return in the evening to the Lodge for Dinner & overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge.
DAY 7: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
The day is spent driving through nature as it was intended to be - huge plains, rolling hills and an abundance of game matched nowhere else on earth. Eyes should be kept open for the Big 5 - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard. If travelling between July and October, it may be possible to witness the impressive herds of over one million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle in their Annual Migration. Sitting around the camp fire, watching the sun set is the perfect way to finish a day’s game viewing in this “Garden of Eden.” For all meals and overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge.
Day 8: MASAI MARA – NAIROBI
Depart Maasai Mara after breakfast to Nairobi to connect the flight to your other destination. Lunch will be taken on the way to the Airport.
